IMPLEMENTATION

Local where needed, private where appropriate, external where useful, governed everywhere.

AI independence is not a choice between cloud and local. It is the ability to use each where it fits, under one governance model.

The stronger position is hybrid: local where needed, private where appropriate, external where useful, and governed everywhere.

The routing decides, not the deployment

RouteFreely is designed to route work across local, private, and external environments based on capability, cost, sensitivity, policy, and provider health. The deployment choice is not one global setting. It is a routing decision made per request.

  • external models for low-risk, high-capability work
  • private or hosted models for controlled environments
  • local models, including Ollama-compatible routes, for sensitive, offline, or cost-sensitive work
  • failover across backends so an outage does not stop the workflow

Identity and access at deployment

Deployment has to fit existing identity and access practices.

  • OIDC-compatible authentication, including Microsoft Entra and other providers
  • domain-restricted registration so only approved users reach the environment
  • user identity propagation to tools for auditability

Internal and internet-facing modes

The system is designed to support both internal and internet-facing deployment, with explicit deployment-mode controls, trusted-network settings, and admin route protection. Complete internet-facing deployment hardening is in progress. We describe it as a direction under active work, not a finished guarantee.

Sensitive workload

A regulated workflow can be pinned to a local or private route while the rest of the organization uses external models under policy.

Mixed environment

A single company can run local, private, and external models side by side, with routing and access deciding what goes where.

What we do not claim

We do not claim zero risk or complete deployment readiness for every scenario. We help you run a hybrid environment under one governance model and mark in-progress areas honestly.

Operating checks for deployment

Key operating checks:

  • which workloads require local or private routes
  • which external providers are approved
  • how identity and access map to existing systems
  • when failover is acceptable and how it is configured
  • which deployment mode fits each environment

Use the right AI for the right work.
